Steven J. Leiter, Esq.

For 30 years, Steven J. Leiter, a founding partner and shareholder of the firm, has handled claims and litigated and tried cases throughout the state of Florida involving Personal Injury Protection, first party insurance claims and coverage disputes, auto negligence, uninsured motorist claims, products liability, premises liability, and negligent security. 

Mr. Leiter is frequently retained as an expert witness to testify at attorney fee hearings in first party insurance disputes and has been accepted as an expert by courts throughout the State of Florida. 

 Mr. Leiter is the author of Abrogation of Joint and Several Liability for Non-Economic Damages, For the Defense (December 1993).  Mr. Leiter serves as a faculty member and lecturer at seminars across the state and presented “Emerging Issues in PIP” at the 2015 Annual Education Program - Conference of County Court Judges of Florida (July 2015), including the preparation of written materials on attorney fee claims and hearings for distribution to County Court Judges.  Mr. Leiter was also appeared as a faculty member at the Annual Business Meeting of the Conference of County Court Judges (July 1996).  Since 2004, Mr. Leiter has served regularly as a faculty member at PIP seminars sponsored by a national seminar company.  In January 2013, Mr. Leiter presented on the newly enacted PIP law at a Broward County Bar Association seminar, and he was a faculty member and presenter on “A Study of Assignment of Benefits” at the 2017 Windstorm Insurance Network WIND Conference.
